Acquisition adds an approximately 931,798-square-foot retail property to Rhino’s Chicago-area portfolio
MOUNT PROSPECT, Illinois — September 23, 2026 — Rhino Investments Group, a commercial real estate investment firm specializing in value-add and necessity-based retail assets, announced the acquisition of Randhurst Village, an open-air, dual grocery-anchored power center in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The acquisition closed on September 15, 2026.
The acquisition marks Rhino’s second major retail investment in the Chicago metropolitan area in the past year, following its acquisition of The Promenade Bolingbrook in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The two acquisitions add to Rhino’s presence in the Chicago market and reflect its strategy of investing in large-scale retail properties with established tenancy and opportunities for leasing and development activity.
Randhurst Village is an approximately 931,798-square-foot open-air power center situated on 94.22 acres at the intersection of Rand Road (U.S. Route 12) and Elmhurst Road (Illinois Route 83). The property is currently anchored by Jewel-Osco and Costco.
The center includes a range of national and regional tenants. Beyond its grocery anchors, Randhurst Village is home to Home Depot, Macy’s, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Nike, Skechers, PetSmart, Planet Fitness and AMC Theatres, among others.
According to information provided by Rhino Investments Group, Randhurst Village draws more than 7.3 million annual visitors. The property serves the surrounding Chicago metropolitan area and its northern suburbs.
“Randhurst Village is an important addition to our portfolio and builds on the momentum we established with our acquisition of The Promenade Bolingbrook last year,” said Sanjiv Chopra, CEO of Rhino Investments Group. “These two acquisitions demonstrate our continued commitment to the Chicago market and our strategy of investing in large-scale retail destinations with strong tenancy and long-term relevance within their communities. Randhurst Village’s dual grocery anchors and multiple opportunities for future leasing and development activity make it an addition to our portfolio.”
Property and Tenant Overview
Randhurst Village combines grocery, home improvement, apparel, fitness, entertainment and other retail uses within an open-air shopping center.
Its tenant mix includes Jewel-Osco, Costco, Home Depot, Macy’s, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Nike, Skechers, PetSmart, Planet Fitness and AMC Theatres. The combination of grocery, retail and service-oriented tenants provides a range of uses within the property.
The property’s location at Rand Road and Elmhurst Road provides access to surrounding residential and commercial areas in the Chicago metropolitan region.
Rhino’s Chicago-Area Expansion
The Randhurst Village acquisition follows Rhino Investments Group’s acquisition of The Promenade Bolingbrook in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
Together, the properties represent Rhino’s continued activity in the Chicago-area retail market. The company said it will evaluate leasing and development opportunities at Randhurst Village following the acquisition.
