The October 10 cultural experience will honor the icons shaping beauty, business and culture while creating a bridge to the industry’s next generation
ATLANTA, GA, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Bronner Bros. today announced the return of the Beauty Icon Awards, taking place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Riverside EpiCenter in Atlanta. Presented by Bronner Bros. and created and executive produced by Kelly Keith, the black-tie experience was established to recognize Black beauty not simply as an industry, but as a cultural force that has shaped identity, creativity, entrepreneurship, entertainment, fashion and commerce.
More than an awards ceremony, the Beauty Icon Awards brings together beauty professionals, artists, founders, executives, creators, influencers, cultural leaders and brands to honor the people whose ideas and artistry have moved Black beauty forward. The platform celebrates living legends and contemporary innovators while preserving the stories and contributions behind an industry whose influence reaches far beyond beauty.
“Black beauty has never been only about products or appearance. It is where identity is expressed, community is built, artistry is born and generations of entrepreneurs have created opportunity,” said Kelly Keith, creator and executive producer of the Beauty Icon Awards. “The influence is visible across entertainment, fashion, business and culture, but many of the professionals and visionaries behind it have not been celebrated with the intention and magnitude they deserve. The Beauty Icon Awards honors those who built the legacy, recognizes the people moving it forward and helps the next generation understand what it is inheriting — and what it has the power to create.”
“For nearly 80 years, Bronner Bros. has been committed to advancing Black beauty professionals and creating opportunities for our community,” said James Bronner, President of Bronner Bros. “The Beauty Icon Awards extends that legacy by honoring the individuals whose creativity, leadership and entrepreneurship continue to shape the industry and influence culture.”
The inaugural 2025 Beauty Icon Awards honored an accomplished class of cultural and industry leaders, including Chaka Khan, recipient of the Legend of Style & Soul Award; Danessa Myricks, recipient of the Beauty Innovator Award; Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, recipient of the Beauty Mogul Award; the late George E. Johnson, recipient of the Titan of Beauty & Business Award; and celebrity hairstylist Terrence Davidson, recipient of the Creative Visionary Award.
For 2026, the Beauty Icon Awards expands its commitment to the industry’s future through a same-day Student Summit and student competition, connecting emerging talent with working professionals, educators and leaders across beauty and business. The daytime experience will help prepare students to become the industry’s next artists, innovators and entrepreneurs.
The 2026 experience will unfold under the creative theme “Midnight Bloom,” reflecting the power of becoming, transformation and work that often takes root before the world can see it. The evening will feature the awards presentation, red-carpet experience, cultural storytelling, curated beauty performances and multi-sensory experiences, alongside brand moments celebrating Black beauty across generations and disciplines.
Returning presenting sponsor Vivace by KISS continues its support of creativity, education and excellence within the multicultural beauty industry. Additional 2026 honorees, presenters, participating leaders and experiences will be announced in the coming months.
